In collaboration with LowTechCampus I developed an accessible mobile robotic platform to carry out automation tasks around a small scale farm. Inspired by mobile robots currently wide spread in warehouses, i decided to design and build one for farms. Using off the shelf parts such as Al extrusions and cheap hoverboards the cost is order of magnitude less than a commercial solution. Its fully Ros2 (robot operating system) compliant and can utilize all compatible software stacks for integration and autonomy.
